This is the River Brittle on the Isle of Skye heading towards the Black Cuillins, the rain was coming and going (and heavy) which made getting clean images very hard!
Walking up to the Old Man of Storr, looking back over the Storr Lochs towards Raasay and Rona.
The Storr in the mist, if you look hard there are some very small people.
I am recently back from a trip to Europe and stopped for a couple of days on the Isle of Skye where I was born. This is on the way to the Old Man of Storr.
Sunset at Lake Tekapo, a long exposure of about 90 seconds to smooth out the water.
Just as the sun was setting over Lake Wanaka the last golden light was hitting the hills at the end of the lake.
Sunset from near the Wanaka lake outlet to the Clutha river, lovely colours and interesting shapes on the lake shore.
Driving to Wanaka I stopped at Lake Pukaki, it was clearly raining at the end of the lake!
Sunset over rocks at Kaikoura in North Canterbury.
Kaikoura at sunset, but take away the colours and the textures in the sea and rocks are still lovely.
This shot is from a trip I took to Kaikoura over the Easter weekend, this is sunset at the same location I made some sunrise images a few weeks ago. Kaikoura is always lovely and always different.
Early morning at Lake Tekapo, one of my favourite places, I liked the paddleboarder on the lake.
Not actually my own footsteps in the case but I like the way they lead through the image.
Fresh snow on the hills around Porters Pass.
Early morning sunshine casting shadows behind Castle Hill.
Castle Hill is a fascinating place, and great for hide and seek :-) Rocks of all shapes and sizes looking castle-like in their structures. I have been there a number of times, each time trying to find a better way of showing the rocks, their shapes and textures. These are from my most recent trip at the weekend.
Lovely (cold) new snow on the mountains around Castle Hill in Canterbury, New Zealand.
A very calm start to the day at Milford Sound.
Looking towards Stirling Falls in Milford Sound.
A wet morning at Milford Sound, it took a while to dry my camera out after this!
